NOX, in cooperation with Nikhil Shikarkhane and Jakob Ryden, is hosting a workshop about neural networks and machine learning. We would like to provide inspiration in this exciting area, give the chance to meet other programmers within the NOX-network and include you in a workshop where you will learn how to build a neural network and some ways to tune it to increase accuracy.
We plan on building a model that includes a certain set of data and we'll tune our neural network to overfit it and discuss options for scaling.
The presentation is meant to get you started in playing with machine learning alogrithms and to help you differentiate between different kinds of ML problems out there.
We will also talk about how to evaluate a model and the importance of iterative improvements.
The goal is to enable a developer to understand the terminologies and process involved in producing a good Machine Learning model.
Since this is a Tuesday - Beer and a couple of Pizza slices is obvious.
The workshop will be held in Swedish and English.
As always you are welcome to bring a friend who's currently a freelancer, or who is thinking about becoming one. We like early birds even though the workshop is free of charge for everyone within the network (and for "tag along programmers" as well).
Hope to see you in a couple of weeks!
